Ross Reeds are made by Andy Ross in California, USA. They are regarded as one of the best band reeds, and they're played by world class pipe bands like Simon Fraser University and Field Marshall Montgomery. However, you don't need to be in a world class band to use the Ross Reed as they set up relatively easily in many of the most popular band pipe chanters and solo chanters also. Andy Ross is originally from Inverness, Scotland and since relocating to Long Beach has played with LA Police Pipe Band and latterly the Los Angeles Scottish Pipe Band when they won Grade 2 at the World Championship in 1997.

Andy underwent back surgery last year and took a year off reedmaking to recouperate. We were pleased to make contact again and hear that Andy had made sufficient progress to start supplying us again with his excellent Ross bagpipe pipe chanter reeds.
