About us

Achiltibuie Bagpipe Specialists is the new name for "Highland Reeds" retail, a company which has been in the bagpipe business for 12 years. Still managed by Alison Hitchings, we are the same great company, offering the same great service and delivering to you even more fantastic bagpipe products.

We are based in Achiltibuie in the far North West Highlands of Scotland.  A unique and beautiful part of the world, this area  has been a source of inspiration to pipers for centuries and our aim is to supply quality products which will keep this tradition thriving.

We are pipers and we provide the tools pipers need whether beginner or professional.  In addition we are one of only four approved bagpipe suppliers to the British Army. 

All the products listed have been played and tested by us in our own instruments or we play the products in our own bagpipe.  We welcome your feedback through the review facility on our web site and please use the Ask A Question service on the site to get an answer to any query you may have.
